The Shah Family

TOP 5 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT MY FAMILY

Every family has their own ups and downs, what brings the family together is the ability to walk through the downs knowing that they’ll end off with the same amount of love for each other as they had in the beginning.

1.     The level of understanding between each of our family members is exceptional. We understand the unspoken words with just a look.

2.     We blindly trust each other as we have all had each other's back since day one. We never had the doubt of wondering if they’re going to be there if I turn around because I know they will be.

3.     We enjoy our company… Even if we come back after a tiring day at school/ work, our family is there ready to cheer the person up.

4.     Being able to enjoy the little things life has to offer… even with us enjoying big expensive trips we take once in a while, we more-so enjoy the trip we take to the beach or to the park, playing games with each other and taking walks down the side of the beach.

5.     The support we give each other no matter what they decide to do in the end. We give each other advice as no one knows us as well as we know each other, and as a result of this, we can give our opinions knowing that it’s for the best.

TOP FIVE THINGS I DISLIKE ABOUT MY FAMILY
  1.   The generational gap issues… as each family may have experienced once in their lifetime, parents and children often have difficulties understanding the others point of view when it comes to doing things they might have done at a younger/older age.

  1. The restrictions parents put on us at times… i remember a time when i wanted to go bowling with my friends but i wasn't allowed because there was a bar/club right beside it and they thought it was unsafe so unless an adult is there, i'm not allowed to go

  1. The embarrassing comments parents give … there was a time when my family went to my uncle's house and stories from the past came up from i was a vary naughty child

  1.   Invading private spaces… Whenever my parents go through my phone for no reason it feels like they're looking through a part of me - even though i have nothing to hide- it's like my personal space is being searched

  1.  The fact that what they think is usually always right…There are some things that parents don't always understand but what they have to say about that topic would always be the right thing - according to them
